“A Cross to Bear,” by Sarah Harrigan. In this blogcast, Sarah Harrigan describes her devotion to St. Padre Pio, born Francesco Forgione and also known as Saint Pius of Pietrelcina, an Italian Franciscan Capuchin friar, priest and stigmatist who endured immense pain from his stigmata, the wounds crucifixion of Christ, and how that was followed by humiliation from peers and investigation from doctors while he lived at San Giovanni Rotondo. He died on September 23rd, 1968 at the age of 81 and he was canonized by Pope John Paul II and Padre Pio’s feast day is September 23rd.

Sarah Harrigan:

Sarah Harrigan is the Manager of Communications and Special Programs for the Catholic Apostolate Center where she coordinates the promotions and logistics of various groups and visitors coming to our Green Hill facility.  She also assists with the day-to-day operations of Green Hill and other administrative duties and is responsible for the creation and publication of our Center newsletter.
